Mission:        Galveston Bay Trout Series was founded to accommodate the growing popularity of trout fishing along the Texas Gulf Coast.    Recognizing the need for an affordable trout tournament with large payouts, Galveston Bay Trout Series is offering a twenty week    tournament series with a progressive championship pot. Tonight's first place team Arnold & Arnold won $180.00 weighing       in 4.0 lbs. Tonight's first place team Sweezy & Weaver won $396.00 weighing    7.2 lbs. The high winds and predicted rain made for a narrow field of    fishermen tonight. Tonight's first place team Angel & Angel won $144.00 weighing 10 lbs. The Big Redfish Side of $40.00 was won    by Augustine & Johnson with a 7.2 lbs Red.    7/29/08: Thanks to the teams that fished tonights tournament. Tonight's tournament paid two places due to the carry over from    last week. First place tonight was Augustine & Johnson with 4.6 lbs winning $459.00. Second place was the team of Horton &    Maley weighing in 3.8 lbs pocketing $225.00. The Big Redfish sidepot of $100.00 went to Clough & Lopez with a smoker of a red    weighing in 8.2 lbs. Tonight the weather got the best of everyone. We only had 7    teams fish tonight b/c of the predicted steep winds. Unfortunately none of the teams that fished tonight was rewarded with a trout    pay day so the pot will be carrying over to next week. Yes, $216 will be added to the payout next week. The Big Redfish sidepot    of $50 was won by Clough & Lopez with a 4.4 lbs red.    7/15/08: Thanks to all the teams that fished tonights tournament. Tonight we had a tie for 1st place with 4.4lbs. Teams Browning    & Muckleroy and Augustine & Johnson split 1st & 2nd place pays for $336 a piece. Browing & Muckleroy also won the Big    Redfish sidepot of $150 with a 6.2 lbs red.    7/8/08: Thanks to all the teams that fished tonights tournament. Weighing in 7.8 lbs, team Gilbert & Dubose won first place    earning themselves $468. The Big Redfish sidepot of $120 was paid out to Augustine & Johnson with a 7.8 lbs red.    7/1/08: Thanks to all of the teams that fished tonight's tournament. The past few weeks the weather has started to clean up and    we are starting to see some better fishing conditions than earlier this year. Tonight's 1st place of $378 went to Augustine &    Johnson with 10.4lbs. Second place was worth $210 and went to Gilbert & Dubois with 7.4 lbs. The Big Redfish sidepot of $130    went to Cain & Gray with a 7.0lbs red.    6/24/08: Thanks to everyone who fished tonight's tournament. It was probably some of the best conditions we've had this series.    First place tonight went to Clough & Lopez with 12.6 lbs & $468. The Big Redfish sidpot pf $110 went to Star & Morris with a nice    5.2 lbs red.    6/17/08: Wee-hoo, everyone who fished tonight knows it was a rough one on the water for sure. GBTS would like to thank    everyone who fished tonight's tournament. First place tonight went to Griffin & Griffin with 9.8lbs earning them $405. Second place    went to Angel & Angel with 8.8 lbs. Tonight's Big Redfish sidepot of $130 went to Wehmeyer & Cox with a 7.0 lb red.        6/10/08: Thanks to all the teams that fished tonights tournament. Weighing in 11.0 lbs, team Augustine & Johnson won first    place earning themselves $468. The Big Redfish sidepot of $120 was paid out to Sweazy & Weaver with a 7.4 lbs red.    6/3/08: Boy it was windy tonight. With that being said the field of teams was smaller than usual. Tonight we only paid one place    for $396 and it went to Angel & Angel with 8.0 lbs. The Big Redfish sidepot was also one by Angel & Angel and it was $80.    Thanks to all of the teams that fished tonight despite the conditions.    5/27/08: The winners for this week are: 1st place Augustine & Johnson with 8.8 lbs $405, 2nd place Horton & Maley with 6.6 lbs    $225, and the Big Redfish sidepot of $120 went to Angel & Angel with a 6.4 lbs redfish.    5/20/08: Thanks to all the teams that fished tonights tournament. Weighing in 13.2 lbs, team Browning & Muckleroy won first    place earning themselves $432. Weighing in 10.2 lbs, team Horton & Haley took second place and $240. The Big Redfish sidepot    of $160 was paid out to Thompson & Varner with a 3.4 lbs red.    5/13/08: Tonight's high winds made the conditions a little tough on a majority of the field but a few teams found some solid fish.    First place with 13.2 lbs went to Augustine & Johnson paying $405. Second place paid $225 and went to Horton & Maley with    11.4 lbs. The Big Redfish sidepot of $150 was paid to Sweazy & Weaver with a 5.2 lbs red.        5/6/08: Thanks to all the teams that fished tonights tournament. We had 15 teams compete for tonight's cash prizes. First place    tonight paid $378 and went to Clough & Lopez. Augustine & Johnson took home second place and $210. Angel & Angel repeated    on the Big Redfish sidepot and added another $130 to their winnings. In association with Griffin Custom    Homes & USA Graphite Rods GBTS was able to pay out five places for the opening night tournament and give away two new    rods. First place tonight paid $486 and went to Augustine & Johnson, second place went Angel & Angel and paid $270, third    place paid out at $150 and went to Griffin & Griffin, fourth place paid $100 to Thomson & Varner, and fifth place put $50 into    Gonzales & Gonzales' pockets.
