1.
No more than two
people may fish in a boat. No more than one guide per team. Teams are allowed
to name one alternative that may fill in for either team member
at any time. Once an alternative is named, no other person may fish with that
team.
2.
Artificial lures
only. Fish must be caught on rod and reel, only one rod per person may be used
at one time. 3.
Three trout per
boat may be weighed in. 15 inch minimum, only one fish above 25 inch mark per
team. All fish will be measured on an official measuring board.
Any fish under the 15 inch minimum length with be culled along with the largest
fish to be weighed in.
4.
Winners will be
decided by total weight of stringer. In the event of a tie, money will be split
evenly with the teams that are tied.
5.
Tournament hours
are 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
6.
Team must be in
weigh in line with fish by 9:15 p.m. or stringer will not be weighed.
7.
$65 per team entry
fee. $5 per team entry will be paid to Thompson's Marina. $60 per
team entry fee we will pay one place
per

teams entered up to 21 teams any more than 21 teams pays 3 places. No more than
3 places will be paid out.
8. First
tournament entered by a team, team is required to pay $25 Championship
Fee per angler that will be
put 100% into the
Championship
Pot. If team has an alternate, the alternate is NOT required to pay $25 Championship
Fee.
9.
Wade fishing is
allowed. If team decides to wade fish, both contestants must
begin to wade from
the same location. Motor
cannot
be started until both
contestants are
back in the boat.
10.
All contestants are subject to a polygraph test and must abide by its conclusion.
All polygraphs must
be passed in order to receive cash or product. If you have ever
failed for any form of cheating you cannot participate in this tournament. If
you refuse to take
polygraph you will be disqualified.
11. All
decisions made by tournament directors or tournament officials will be final.
Tournament director
can make a change
at
his or
her discretion or when the safety of the anglers is at question.
12.
Life jackets must
be worn & kill switch attached any time boat is running on plane.
13.
There is a 4 oz.
penalty for every dead fish weighed in.
14. All
boats will leave from the same weigh site according their flight numbers which
will be decided by a lottery draw at
registration.
15.
Any protest must
be submitted in writing to tournament director within 10 minutes of last fish
weighed in.
16.
All state, federal,
and local laws apply. Anyone consuming alcoholic beverages
or drugs (other
than your prescription) during
tournament
hours will be disqualified. No alcohol or drugs allowed in boat during tournament
hours.
17.
Top 10 teams will
qualify for championship. (Decided by total weight for year) Any team that fishes
10 tournaments will
also qualify
for the Championship TBA.
18.
Contestants must
be 18 years of age. If angler is under 18 years of age they must have a signed
release from parent or guardian.
19. Anglers
with live fish will be given first priority to weigh in.
20.
These rules apply
to all anglers of this tournament. Violations of any of these rules will warrant
appropriate disciplinary action by tournament director(s).
21. Firearms
are not allowed in tournament boats during tournament hours or carried during
tournament registration or weigh-in. Unless you are a peace
officer.
22.
Hole sitting by
or for contestants is not allowed.
23. The
use of cell phones during the tournament for fish finding is strictly prohibited.
24.
All contestants
must carry liability insurance on any boats they use during a Galveston Bay Trout
Series Tournament.
25. No
boat, without permission, may fish within 50 yards of another boat that has their
anchor down or the trolling motor down in the locked position.
Permission may not be given to any team with the exclusion of any other team.
26.
If a person decides
to quit a team and form another they are required to pay a new $25.00 Championship
Fee per person. (both anglers and alternate)
27. Each
team will receive 2 lbs for paying entry to each tournament.
28.
Upon entering this
fishing tournament, contestants release G.B. Trout Series officials and sponsors
from liability of accidents, losses, or thefts. Contestants
are responsible for knowing and understanding this rules.
29. Anglers
of the year will not have to pay for entry fee for next years series.

Championship
money will increase every tournament. We will have a banquet at the end of the
tournament series and all proceeds will go to the championship
payout.
Redfish
Bonus Payout:
Every
tournament will have a
Big Red Side Pot.
The entry fee for the Big Red Side Pot is $10 a team with a 100% payout to the
winner. The Redfish must be in the legal slot size of 20"
- 28". In the event of a tie the pot will be split. If there is no winner
on the last tournament date the money will go into the championship
payout.
